Meet The Mother-Daughter Designers
Small business ownership has been a way of life in our family. I personally have a passion for operations and design. Mom and I previously owned and operated a successful gourmet popcorn company. We have always worked well together with a natural partnership. Building that business from scratch and starting in the garage was incredibly rewarding, challenging and quite the adventure. We grew and learned from mistakes and continue to embrace the kind of fearlessness it takes to make tough business decisions.
After accepting an offer to sell the popcorn company, Mom and I often reflected on how much we enjoyed the holiday season—especially working with corporate clients to create their gifts. At the time, it was mostly just popcorn, but we always saw the potential to offer something more elevated and more often. Three years later we decided to break back into the business world and launched Apple Blossom.
When we’re not designing gift boxes, you’ll find us on the pickleball court or enjoying time with our family. Between 4H events and Girl Scout meetings I am also am a busy mom. Lisa is a licensed real estate agent for WA and also loves to showcase her design talents in local floral competitions, continuing the creative spirit that drives our business every day.
