Retirement Gifts: What to send
Retirement is hands-down our biggest selling gift category all year long. While we see steady orders throughout the year, the busiest times are always around the holidays at year-end and again at the beginning of summer. Those moments just seem to line up with people wrapping up careers and starting fresh chapters.
We sell retirement gifts in two main ways. First, we have pre-designed gifts that make great “go-to” options if you’re shopping for a coworker or someone you don’t know super well. They’re thoughtful, polished, and ready to go.
But where we really shine is with custom-designed retirement gifts. This is where our clients come to us with a budget and just a little info about the retiree—their interests, hobbies, or personality—and we run with it. On average, the most common retirement gift budgets fall in the $300–$500 range, but we can go below or beyond depending on your gifting goals.
Some of our favorite past designs have been:
-
A "cocktails and music" themed gift for an elementary band teacher heading into retirement.
-
A "cocktail abroad / travel-inspired" gift for a corporate president who loved exploring new places with a drink in hand.
-
A "pickleball essentials gift box" for an avid pickleball player ready to hit the courts full time.
-
A “Par for the Course” golf-inspired gift packed with high-end golf goodies for a lifelong player.
And that’s just scratching the surface—we’ve done so many more. Retirement gifts are special because they celebrate a lifetime of work and set the tone for all the fun ahead. Whether you need something simple or something completely one-of-a-kind, we love helping clients send off their friends, coworkers, or loved ones with a meaningful gift.
